I believe Iris joined the demigods because she was devastated of Lucas’ disappearance (and also to betray them that’s why she killed the great sage to “prove” to the demigods she’s their ally) then she used their knowledge and technology to bring Lucas back. She’s also the one who created tha Blake family line and by that somehow made Lucas fuse with one of them which is now Frey Blake. (I think that’s what happened)
